Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. At AcrossAI, we follow a few fundamental principles:

  • We are thoughtful about the personal information we ask you to provide and the information we collect through our website and services.
  • We store personal information only as long as we have a reason to keep it.
  • We aim for full transparency on how we gather, use, and share your personal information.
  • Our free host plugins and paid add-ons run on your WordPress server — your site content and ability data stay under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains how AcrossAI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website https://acrossai.co and our products (collectively, the “Services”).

If you have questions, contact us at deepak@acrossai.co.

Who we are and what this policy covers

AcrossAI builds WordPress plugins that let AI clients (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, and others) work with your site through an open Abilities API and a built-in MCP server. We offer:

  • Free host plugins — Abilities Manager and MCP Manager (available on WordPress.org and our site).
  • Paid add-ons — including AI Connectors and individual connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok, sold under a freemium model with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

This policy covers information we collect about you when you use our website, purchase or license our paid products, contact support, or otherwise interact with AcrossAI. It does not govern data that stays only on your own WordPress install when you run our plugins — that data is processed under your control on your server.

Information we collect

We collect information only when we have a reason to do so — for example, to provide the Services, communicate with you, process purchases, or improve what we offer.

Information you provide to us

  • Account and contact information. When you create an account, buy a license, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, site URL, and related details.
  • Transaction and billing information. If you purchase a paid add-on, payment processors collect payment details (e.g. card information). We receive confirmation of the transaction, license scope (e.g. number of sites), and contact information needed to fulfill the order. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Support and communications. When you email us, use a contact or support form, or reply to surveys, we collect the content of those messages and any details you share (plugin versions, error messages, site URLs, etc.).
  • Optional credentials for troubleshooting. If you choose to share temporary access credentials (e.g. for debugging a paid add-on), we use them only for that purpose and do not retain them longer than needed.

Information we collect automatically

  • Log information. Like most websites, we may collect browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, date and time of access, and pages visited when you use acrossai.co.
  • Usage information. We may collect how you interact with our site (e.g. page views, downloads, form submissions) to understand demand and improve the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We may use cookies or similar tools for essential site function, remembering preferences, analytics, and (where applicable) measuring campaign effectiveness. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit certain features.

Information from our plugins on your site

Abilities Manager, MCP Manager, and our paid connectors run inside your WordPress installation. Ability registries, permission settings, audit logs, MCP connection records, and similar data are stored on your server under your control. AcrossAI does not receive a copy of that site content by default. License checks for paid products may contact our licensing systems with limited data (e.g. license key, site domain) needed to validate the license.

How we use information

We use information about you to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (including free plugins and paid add-ons);
  • Process purchases, issue licenses, and honor our 14-day money-back guarantee where applicable;
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about your account or orders;
  • Monitor and improve the website and products, and detect fraud or abuse;
  • Send transactional messages and, where you have not opted out, occasional product updates or offers;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Sharing information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Payment processors, hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers who need information to perform services for us, under appropriate confidentiality and privacy commitments.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may transfer subject to this policy’s principles.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share statistics that cannot reasonably identify you.
  • With your direction. For example, if you ask us to share details with a third party for support.

Security

No online service is 100% secure. We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. You are responsible for securing your own WordPress site, application passwords, and license keys.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above — for example, while your account or license is active, to fulfill support, or as required by law (e.g. tax and accounting records). Support correspondence may be retained to improve service and resolve disputes.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction. You may request a copy of personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information, by emailing deepak@acrossai.co.
  • Deletion. You may request deletion of personal data we hold, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Marketing opt-out. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in those messages. Transactional and account-related messages may still be sent.
  • Cookies. You can control cookies via your browser; some site features may not work fully without them.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example GDPR or CCPA). Contact us to exercise them.

International transfers

AcrossAI may process and store information in India and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules than your home country. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred as described in this policy.

Children’s privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-party sites and services

Our website may link to third-party sites (e.g. WordPress.org, payment providers, AI client documentation). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the bottom will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or a site notice).
