What is the The Events Calendar MCP server?
The The Events Calendar MCP server from AcrossAI lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client create and update events, venues and organizers, and find events by date, venue or category on your WordPress site. It runs inside WordPress through the free Abilities Manager and MCP Manager plugins, and works through The Events Calendar itself — with no third-party relay in between.

What your AI can do with The Events Calendar
The Events Calendar keeps events, venues and organizers as linked records. These abilities let an AI assistant find events by date, venue or category, create and update them with their venue and organizers attached, and keep venues and organizers tidy — with every trash action asking for confirmation first.
Find events fast
Search by date range, venue, organizer, category, cost or featured flag, with dates and timezone already resolved.
Create and update events
Add events with dates, venue, organizers and categories in one call, and change them later.
Venues and organizers
List, create and update the venues and organizers events link to, so you reuse records instead of duplicating them.
Read calendar settings
See how the calendar is configured, with any stored credentials redacted.
Troubleshooting
Calendar looking messy? Three things that go wrong quietly.
None of these breaks the calendar, but each one makes it harder for visitors to find the right event.
Duplicate venues and organizers
Typing a venue name again creates a second record. List Venues and List Organizers find the existing one to reuse.
Events missing from a category view
An event without its category never appears in that filter. Set Event Categories assigns it.
An event trashed by mistake
Trash Event, Trash Venue and Trash Organizer all need confirm, so nothing disappears from the calendar by accident.
Try asking
Paste one into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor once your site is connected.
“What events do we have next month?”
“Create a workshop on 12 October, 6–8 pm, at the Mumbai office.”
“Move Saturday’s meetup to the new venue.”
“List every event with no category.”
“Which organizer runs the most events this year?”
“Add a featured tag to our three biggest events.”

The Events Calendar + AI questions
Is there an MCP server for The Events Calendar?
Yes. AcrossAI turns your WordPress site into an MCP server with dedicated The Events Calendar abilities, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or a local model can work with The Events Calendar directly. It’s free on WordPress.org.
Can ChatGPT or Claude manage The Events Calendar?
Yes, once your site is connected over MCP. Ask in plain English and your AI calls the The Events Calendar abilities on this page, with risky changes gated behind an explicit confirm.
Is The Events Calendar integration free?
Yes. All of its abilities ship in Abilities Manager, which is free on WordPress.org.
Can the AI delete events by accident?
No. Trashing an event, venue or organizer refuses to run without an explicit confirm.
Does it work with Event Tickets?
Yes. Event Tickets has its own integration for tickets, attendees and check-in on the same events.
Which AI assistants work with it?
Any MCP client: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Cursor, Claude Code, and local runtimes such as Ollama, LM Studio and Open WebUI.
Does my site data pass through AcrossAI’s servers?
No. Your WordPress site runs the MCP server and your AI client connects to it directly. There is no hosted gateway in the middle.
Is AcrossAI affiliated with The Events Calendar?
No. AcrossAI built and maintains this integration independently, using The Events Calendar’s public APIs.
