Is my password secure?
Yes. MCP Manager uses WordPress’s native Application Passwords. Each is generated securely, tied to your account, visible in your profile, and revocable at any time. Your main WordPress password is never used or stored.
Can I connect more than one client?
Yes — generate a separate password for each client (VS Code, Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, custom). Revoking one doesn’t affect the others.
Where are my application passwords saved?
In your WordPress profile: Users → Profile → Account Management → Application Passwords. View or revoke them there any time.
Which MCP clients are supported?
Claude Desktop, Claude Code, VS Code (with Copilot), GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, and any custom client that supports the standard MCP config format.
Do I need to install extra software?
Nothing extra on the WordPress side. Your MCP client (the VS Code extension, the Claude app, and so on) handles its end of the connection.
A client can’t connect — what should I check?
- The server is Active on the MCP Servers screen.
- You pasted the JSON under the correct top-level key for that client, and replaced the password placeholder.
- Your user is allowed under the server’s Access Control.
- You restarted the client after saving its config.
Does it support multisite?
Yes. MCP Manager works on WordPress multisite, and each site is configured independently.
