Will this ever lock me out?
No. Administrators always have access, no matter which option or boxes are set. You can’t accidentally lock yourself out of your own site.
What does “No user access added by admin” mean?
It’s the default “not configured” state: the resource stays available to administrators only, until you pick another option.
If I tick two roles, does a user need both?
No — it’s “any of”. A user is allowed if they match at least one ticked role (the same applies to capabilities, profile types and memberships).
Why don’t I see BuddyBoss or MemberPress?
Those options appear only when the matching plugin is active and the integration is enabled. If either is missing, the option is hidden.
Can logged-out visitors get access?
Only with Everyone (no restriction). Any specific rule requires the user to be logged in.
I searched for a user but nothing appears
The Users search matches by username, email or display name. Type a few characters and matching users appear; click one to add it as a tag.
